Only have the old part?

Worn, broken, obsolete or undocumented parts can start a replacement review without a drawing.

What we make

CNC machined plastic parts for industrial equipment

CDS Plastics CNC mills and turns custom plastic parts for conveyors, packaging lines, fluid handling and other industrial equipment. We machine replacements for worn, broken or obsolete components, and new parts to your drawing, from a single piece to recurring production runs.

The parts below are grouped by what they do in the machine: move chain and product, handle containers, support shafts, seal fluid, or mount and isolate. If you don’t see your part, describe it and we’ll identify it with you.

Group 01

Conveyor and chain wear

Parts that engage chain, guide product, support rotation or clean a belt.

Group 02

Container handling and change parts

Parts that transfer, space, turn and separate containers on packaging lines.

Group 03

Bearings, bushings and rings

Parts that support shafts, line bores, control clearance or set spacing.

Group 04

Fluid path and sealing

Parts that route fluid, seal faces, move through packing or cover openings.

Group 05

Mounting, structure and electrical

Parts that mount, house, isolate, set height or stop motion.

Replacement and no-drawing work

The worn part can be
the starting point

A worn or repaired part may no longer show its original geometry. We measure it, account for the wear, and confirm the details with you before machining the new one.

  1. Send the sample or drawing

A physical part, old print, sketch or CAD file. Whatever exists.

  2. We measure it

We measure the part and find the worn, damaged or repaired areas.

  3. We confirm the details

We ask about anything unclear, such as the mating part or the equipment it runs in.

  4. You get a quote

Price and timing for your replacement.

Part specifications and CAD files kept on file for future orders.

Material

Choosing a plastic for your part

If a grade is specified, tell us. If not, describe how the part runs and we’ll suggest suitable plastics for it.

What helps us suggest a plastic

Mating components
What it touches, runs against or fits into
Load and motion
Static, sliding, rotating or reciprocating
Temperature
Operating range and any heat cycles
Chemicals and cleaning
Process media and washdown
Wear and moisture
Abrasion, impact and wet service
Electrical or thermal
Insulation or heat-path needs
Your regulatory or documentation requirements
Detectability and compliance depend on the exact grade and part, so tell us what your line requires

Buyer questions

Custom plastic parts FAQs

Start with what it contacts, moves, seals, supports or retains, plus the equipment and the problem you see. Use the five groups to get close, or contact us and we’ll identify it with you.

Yes. A physical sample can start the quote. We measure it, account for the wear, and ask about anything else we need, such as the equipment it runs in.

Yes. From a single replacement to recurring runs.

If your drawing or equipment specifies a grade, tell us. If not, describe how the part runs (load, motion, temperature, chemicals and wear) and we’ll suggest suitable plastics for it.

That depends on the specific part and exact grade. Tell us what your line requires and we’ll review it.

We hold ±0.002" to ±0.005" on critical dimensions, depending on the plastic. We review your drawing and confirm the critical dimensions with your quote.

No. We machine parts to your drawing, specification or sample. Design and engineering decisions stay with you or your equipment maker.

Engineered plastics are the core of the shop, including UHMW, acetal, nylon, PTFE and PEEK, with aluminum, brass and bronze when the part calls for it.

Yes. Projects range from a single replacement to recurring production runs, and part specifications are kept for future orders.
