Custom machined brackets and mounting blocks that fix your sensor, guard, guide or component to the machine. In engineered plastics, aluminum, brass or bronze, made to your drawing or from the old bracket, from one part to production runs.

What we machine to

From your machine to your part

A bracket takes one mounting pattern and presents another. Its geometry runs from the side that fixes to your machine, through the angle and offset, to the side that carries your part.

DIAGRAM: bracket side view, machine side (1), angle and offset between (2), component side (3)
  1. Machine side Where it fixes to your frame

    We machine

    • The face it sits on
    • Hole or slot pattern to the frame
    • Slots for adjustment
    • Counterbores for flush fasteners

    Send

    • Frame hole pattern
    • Fastener size
    • What it bolts against
  2. Between The geometry that does the work

    We machine

    • Angle between the faces
    • Offset and reach
    • Ribs, reliefs and cutouts
    • Overall size

    Send

    • Angle and offset
    • Space it has to fit in
    • Anything it must clear
  3. Component side Where your part mounts

    We machine

    • Component hole or slot pattern
    • Pockets and locating features
    • Cable and sensor access
    • Threads or inserts

    Send

    • What it carries
    • Its hole pattern
    • How it’s adjusted or removed

Hardware: threads cut into the plastic, or threaded inserts fitted, with screws and washers fitted before shipping, so the bracket is ready to mount.

Replacing a bracket?

Why brackets crack, drift or sag

Where the damage shows tells us what the new bracket needs. These are common reasons, not a diagnosis.

At the holes

  • Cracks at bolt holes Cracks spreading out from a fastener hole.
  • Holes worn oval Holes stretched as the bracket shifts under load.
  • Loose fasteners Fasteners that no longer hold the bracket tight.

At the corners

  • Cracks at an inside corner A crack starting where two faces meet.
  • Breaks at a thin section A rib, tab or thin wall that has snapped.

Across the part

  • Sagging The bracket bends under a constant load over time.
  • Softening from heat It flexes more in a hot area.
  • Swelling Some plastics take on moisture and change size.
  • Holes out of line The bracket and the metal frame grow at different rates with heat.

A broken or bent bracket may no longer show its original angle or hole positions. We measure it, account for the damage and confirm the details with you.

Materials for brackets

Chosen by what the bracket needs

Tell us where the bracket sits and what it carries, and we’ll suggest suitable materials. These are the common ones; we machine most engineering plastics.

Yes, as a starting point. Send it with photos of how it was mounted, plus the frame and the component it connects.

Yes. We cut threads into the plastic, or fit helical or threaded inserts where you need a stronger thread that can be reused. Screws, washers and other standard hardware can be fitted before shipping.

We hold ±0.002" to ±0.005" on critical dimensions, depending on the plastic. We review your drawing and confirm the critical dimensions, such as hole positions, with your quote.

Timing depends on the bracket, material and quantity, and comes with your quote. For an emergency breakdown, ask about our expedited service.

What does yours do?

Mounting parts are easiest to name by their job. We machine almost any plastic part, so if yours isn’t here, describe it in a quote request.
