| At CDS Plastics, Inc. we specialize in fabrication of a wide variety of CNC machined PVC filtration components used in the water treatment, water filtration, and water sanitation industries. A large project we recently completed called for the manufacture of hubs, housings, flanges, and manifolds for use within a filtration application. Our project team, working from customer-supplied 2D CAD files, utilized our latest technology Takasawa CNC lathe and Fadal CNC mill to perform the milling and turning operations required to produce a variety of parts.
Fabricated from NSF/FDA-approved gray PVC and CPVC, housings were manufactured in three sizes, 1", 1.5", and 2.00" NPT, while the hubs were manufactured in both 13° and 18° versions. To ensure all parts were within the tight ±.005" tolerance requirement, quality control measures included NPT gage testing on all fittings, which were veneer and micrometer measured. Our assembly area also handled adding inserts and o-rings for the parts that required them.
